Clinics and salons are the best category for influencer marketing in a city like Bengaluru, and the easiest to get wrong. The results are visible, the audience is local, and the rules are stricter than most brands realise.
Beauty and treatment decisions are made on trust and on proof. A person you follow showing their actual hair three weeks after a keratin treatment is more persuasive than any ad you could buy. The category is visual, the change is demonstrable, and the purchase is local.
It also fits how people choose. Nobody researches salons on Google for an hour. They see something, they save it, they message on WhatsApp.
This is where the category stops being like any other. For anything medical or quasi-medical, the constraints are real:
The brief protects you more than the contract does. If a creator says something you cannot legally say, it is your clinic's name on the post.
Do not just tell the creator what to talk about. Tell them plainly what they must not say, and give them approved language for the rest. Good creators appreciate the clarity — nobody wants to redo a video.
A workable structure: three things to mention, two things to never say, one call to action, and a note that the disclosure label is non-negotiable.
Before you spend anything: make sure someone answers the messages. A creator campaign for a salon typically lands most of its enquiries between 9pm and midnight, when the salon is shut. If those messages sit until morning, you paid for enquiries and delivered them to nobody.
Bookings, not likes. Give each creator a distinct code or link so you can tell whose audience actually turned up. Ask at the desk how they heard about you and write it down. Over three campaigns that record is worth more than any analytics dashboard.
We run influencer campaigns for Bengaluru brands — finding the right creators, briefing them properly, and keeping the disclosure clean.
