What Influencer Marketing Actually Costs in Bangalore

Nobody publishes influencer rates, so every brand negotiating its first campaign is bidding blind. Here is what creators in Bengaluru actually quote, and what the number on the invoice does not tell you.

Two things make this hard to research. Creator rates are negotiated privately, and the loudest public numbers come from national campaigns in Mumbai and Delhi that have nothing to do with a Bengaluru salon's budget.

Roughly What Creators Quote

These are ranges we see in and around Bengaluru, per deliverable, for creators with genuine local audiences. Treat them as a starting point for a conversation, not a rate card.

Creator sizeOne ReelStory setWhat you get
Nano — under 10kOften barter to modest feesUsually bundledHigh trust, small reach, local relevance
Micro — 10k to 100kMid three figures upwardAdd-on to a ReelThe sweet spot for most local brands
Mid — 100k to 500kMeaningful budget linePriced separatelyReach beyond your neighbourhood
Macro — 500k+Campaign-level budgetsRarely sold aloneAwareness, rarely direct bookings

Rates move on more than follower count. A creator whose audience is 80% Bengaluru is worth more to a Jayanagar clinic than one with triple the followers spread across India. Category matters too — finance and health creators charge more, because their audiences convert and their liability is higher.

The Costs Nobody Quotes You

The creator fee is usually the smaller half of a campaign. What catches brands out:

Where the Money Actually Disappears

In our experience the waste is almost never the creator fee. It is paying for reach that was never going to buy from you.

A restaurant in Indiranagar paying a creator with 200,000 followers, 70% of them outside Karnataka, has bought a nice-looking video and roughly 60,000 relevant impressions. The same budget across six micro-creators who actually eat in that neighbourhood would have filled tables.

Reach you cannot serve is not reach. It is decoration.

What We Charge, and Why It Is Quoted Per Campaign

We do not publish an influencer rate card, and we are suspicious of agencies that do. The work scales with the number of creators, not with your business size — sourcing five creators for a salon launch is a different job from twenty for a product rollout.

What is worth knowing is how the money splits. Creator fees are billed at cost and shown to you. Our fee covers sourcing, vetting, briefing, negotiation, disclosure compliance and reporting. If an agency will not show you the creator's actual fee, ask why.

When influencer marketing is the wrong spend: if you have no way to convert the enquiries it creates. A campaign that drives 200 DMs to a business that answers WhatsApp twice a day is money set on fire. Fix the answering first, then buy the attention.

A Sensible First Budget

If you have never run one, do not start with a single expensive creator. Start with four or five micro-creators, one deliverable each, and treat it as research. You will learn which creator style your audience responds to for less than the cost of one macro post, and the winning format becomes your ad creative afterwards.
